About The Urns
We often feel great sadness when someone dies, but it’s a a part of a much larger cycle where physical matter and energy has the opportunity to transform. This is not a metaphor. I experienced this recently with my partner when we scattered the ashes of her dad in the high mountains. The sensations were so visceral as his ashes joined with the natural world, with the paths we walked, and the streams where we swam.
These urns are handmade, each one slightly different and unique. The wooden tops and long orchard grass bindings have been created in collaboration with my friend Raphaelle from Uprooted Studio. Each of these items is a poem. For more details see below, or write to me here.
