WINTER MANDALA

Each of the 12 astrological houses are represented by a small ceramic container; a symbol of the different psychological energies that constitute the human psyche.  The containers are spaced unequally from the centre of the mandala so that some appear more prominent than others, and yet all are of equal importance and meet in the centre where the flowers bloom in their beautiful temporality.

In the background two ceramic columns preside over this scene. The columns allude to the energy of polarity; of the conscious and subconscious, of male and female, of the dynamic that is present in the six zodiac oppositional pairings and in the arcs of the yin-yang seeds.
